Silo Roberts, the daily and Sunday comic strip by Rob Cabrera, is the story of a multiethnic middle child who struggles to find his place in today’s melting pot of a world. Honest, funny and realistic, Silo Roberts explores the twin challenges of a kid’s struggle to find himself and the next level of his favorite video game. Challenged by a standardized test to identify his race, Silo discovers that his own particular background — Caucasian/Hispanic/Italian/Afro-American/Japanese — is not one of the multiple choices listed. In a nation where nearly 7 million people classify themselves as belonging to more than one race and more than 25% of Americans are non-white, Silo Roberts is a typical kid of the 21st century. A middle child, he lives in a single-parent household with his mother, Dianne, a professional journalist; Donny, his older brother, a confident jock with an eye for the ladies; and his tough, animal-loving little sister, Lisa.
