Rehr was born and raised in Denmark, and came to the United States in 1992. He began cartooning in 1981, creating several children's strips in his homeland. His features included "Julius," about the adventures of a child and his uncle; "Kvikleif," a strip of medieval fairy tales; and a five-volume graphic novel called Danmark Besat. Rehr is also an accomplished fine artist with exhibitions in New York and Denmark to his credit. He currently lives in Manhattan with his wife Jennie and two sons, Ambrose and Sebastian.
